EXERCISES FOR THIS WEEK

  • CHILDREN - Count the number of teddy bears on your walks

  • ADULTS - Anoint your doors as a way of extending your faith that God is protecting and guiding you. Also anoint the members of your family and pray a blessing of Jesus' blood over them, protecting them. Also, pray protection over your neighbour’s homes too.

PM - A Refuge of Peace Instead of COVID-19 Fear

A Refuge of Peace…

Under God’s Wing - Psalm 91

In this message, Ps Rob addresses the Covid-19 Corona virus fear that is gripping the world. In Psalms 91 God tells us that us believers in Christ have a place of refuge and hope that the world doesn’t have. When people are fearful, we have a God that we can come to and trust. He is our place of refuge.

AM – Jude Says Contend for the Faith

Contend for the Faith

when God’s Truth is Attacked. Jude 1

The letter from Jude calls us to fight! To contend! To do battle! When the truth of God is attacked, it is time to fight for the faith. Only believers who are spiritually “in shape” can answer the summons. The danger is real. False teachers have crept into the church turning God’s grace into unbounded license to do as they please.

Ps Kaye uses aspects of Jude to warn us to not be caught off guard in the face of the spiritual dangers that we face in our era from both inside and outside the church. The challenge is great, but so is the God who is able to keep us from stumbling.

PM – The Guardian of Your Soul - Part 2 of 2

The Guardian of Your Soul

Connecting with Others. Psalm 23, Part 2

In this second of two touching and profound messages, guest minister Marcus Ardern walks us backwards through Psalm 23. With teaching and candid stories, he touches on several major themes in Psalm 23 relating to our relationship with other ‘sheep’ and to our relationship with God Himself.

Some of the themes explored:

  • We are the House of the Lord and the Lord is making connections between us

  • The goodness of God is often in opposition to popular opinion

  • Mercy means exhibiting ‘covenant love’ with others

  • The Anointing gives us supernatural power to touch other's.

  • God gives provision for every project that He calls us into

  • Rod & staff - God’s discipline and correction

  • God restores our soul when others give up on us

  • God guides us to our desired safe havens

  • The good shepherd won't kick us when we're down.

AM – The Guardian of Your Soul - Part 1 of 2

The Guardian of Your Soul

We Have Our Shepherd’s Attention. Psalm 23, Part 1

In this first of two touching and profound messages, guest minister Marcus Ardern walks us forwards through Psalm 23. With teaching and candid stories, he encourages us that we have the Shepherd’s attention and will always have it.

Marcus touches on something for everyone:

  • God guards our soul

  • We have a Holy Spirit anointing to fulfill everything the Lord calls us to do

  • God brings provision

  • God brings calmness into our life

  • God shepherds us in paths of righteousness

  • We needn't be afraid of death

  • God helps us to feast on his goodness when the devil tries to wind us up

  • Goodness and loving kindness are like two dogs that follow us

  • We will dwell in the house of the Lord forever. This means that God never tires of you. He's always glad to see you.

Allow this message to help you be guided by the Shepherd and guardian of your soul (1 Peter 2:24-25).

You are known by the Lord our Shepherd and deeply loved by Him. He knows you, your pain, your secret sorrows. He’s more merciful than men and shall wipe every tear from your eyes.

A Meditation - How to Get Caught Up In God's Prophetic Slipstream

This week’s service was dedicated to praying for members of our congregation and their ministries. These ministries have been born from prophetic words.

So Ps Rob ended the service with a 12 minute meditation on how we get caught up in the slipstream of prophetic promises over other believers. Likewise, God's prophetic promises over our lives impact the lives of others.

AM - You're Dressed in Gold That Changes the Atmosphere

Dressed in Gold…

…that changes the atmosphere.
Psalm 45 - Part 2

Psalm 45 verse 9 talks about the "queen in gold from Ophir." In this second of two sermons, Ps Rob shows that this "queen" is us, the Bride of Christ. We are dressed in spiritual garments - the gifts, graces, abilities and fruit of the Spirit (gold from Ophir) that God has given us. They change the spiritual atmosphere and people's lives everywhere we go!

Key Passages

  • Psalm 45:9

  • Isaiah 51:17

  • Isaiah 52:1-2

At the end of the recording, Rob shares a bit more information about our prayer meetings for the remaining three Saturdays in February 2020.

AM – Drink of the Spirit in These Last Days

drink-of-the-holy-spirit.jpg

Current events around the world align with the signs of the End Times described in the Book of Luke, Chapter 21. Ps Rob shows us from Scripture how to stay refreshed and full of God's life during these difficult times. We are to drink of God’s ‘water’ - His Holy Spirit. We do this by regularly worshipping and praying in the Spirit.

Key Passages

Luke 21:5-28 - Signs of the End Times

Psalms 46 (esp. v4) “There is a river whose streams shall make glad the city of God, The holy place of the tabernacle of the Most High.” (NKJV)

The Promise of the Holy Spirit
37 On the last day, that great day of the feast, Jesus stood and cried out, saying, “If anyone thirsts, let him come to Me and drink. 38 He who believes in Me, as the Scripture has said, out of his heart will flow rivers of living water.”
— John 7:37-38 (NKJV)

AM – New Year, New Things

Position Yourself to Hear From God

Isaiah 43:16-21

On Sunday Ps Rob taught from Isaiah 43:16-21. As we move into 2020 we need to pay attention to the things that God is doing now rather than looking back at the past. To do this, we must position ourselves to hear from God.

The final 10 minutes of the recording is devoted to prayer for Australia with her fires and for our Christian family over there.

AM - How to Handle the Unexpected In 2020

image.jpg

Receiving Strength, Courage & Bravery From God

Life can throw curve balls with respect to our hopes, dreams and plans. 2019 was difficult for many.

Ps Rob helps us to receive strength, courage and bravery from God for 2020. He uses Joshua’s loss of his leader Moses and his concern over what might happen after crossing the boarder into Canaan to prepare our hearts to handle the unexpected in 2020.

Key passage: Joshua 1:1-9

ALSO: The final few minutes of the recording contain the communion message. Grab some bread and juice and take a few minutes to finish (or start) the decade spending time sharing some heart-felt affection with your precious Saviour Jesus.

Luke 22:19 And he took bread, gave thanks and broke it, and gave it to them, saying, “This is my body given for you; do this in remembrance of me.”
